I cannot believe that twenty one days went by so fast that it feels like a long weekend. Today the children’s visit here comes to an end and by night fall the house will be in a state of silence – no toddler talking and no baby crying.
Leaving on a jet plane
On the happy side it was wonderful to have had them here. Only pity I can think of is that the weather did not play along in a kind manner. At least yesterday they could experience a sample of the Cape of Storms.
One of my many smiles
Next time we see her she will have grown and a smile like this will only be visible in photographs as by then her development would have changed the baby smile to that of the toddler.
Wisdom of the “why age”
As for this bright guy who has the knack to bombard one with “why?” I can say those “whys” will be missed, but hopefully next time round he will have the answers.
Next weekend we will say our last goodbyes to them in Pretoria when we will be there to attend Lisa’s christening. After that they will return to the land of the Swiss Alps and our weekly Skype sessions will resume and hopefully Fransie will join in with his colourful expressions.
Wishing all a happy Sunday.

Such a bitter-sweet moment. Hang on to all those special memories…
Definitely will
Hard for you guys.
Thank heavens for Skype!
Must admit I think Skype is the best invention after water!
Goodbyes are always sad, but you and they have had such a wonderful time together. I’ve enjoyed your photos. I’m also grateful for Skype.
Aw, that is so sad Newsy…sorry…
*big hugs*
At least you have these treasured memories of special time spent together. Hope it will not be too long before you get to see them again.
