According to the information plaque on the tree trunk this Camphor Tree is also 100 old.
Unfortunately there was nowhere I could stand to be able to photograph the tree in full, not even with a wide angle lens.
Sorry to our botanists, but I could not identify this beauty.
At the nursery of Kirstenbosch I shot these flowers that were up for sale.
The Otter pool, but I have never had the luck to spot one due to the fact these critters only come out of hiding at dawn or sunset.
To conclude the series two of the landscape views one can enjoy from Kirstenbosch.
The Fernwood buttress and peak which forms part of Table Mountain, albeit on the back side of the mountain.
Way off to the north east the horizon is formed by the Hottentots-Holland mountain range.
That then concludes my latest visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Have a super day.

Lovely post, Newsy.
Are there actual otters in that pool?
How cool!!!
Once again, lovely pics H
Some claim there are, others say no.
Love your pictures, as always, Newsy. But today can you help me? The flower picture, second from the top, what is the correct name? One has appeared out of nowhere (via a bird?) but nobody can give me a name here.Thanks. Carina

Great photos newsy. Camphor trees are so majestic, have you seen the ones in the Hohenhort Hotel Garden?
Yes, and are they not great.
