At my study door is a tall “Dagga plant” which has almost stopped flowering, but still attracts the sunbirds that feed on the nectar of the flowers.  For weeks I have tried to photograph the male sunbird but, due to their super alertness, all attempts were fruitless.  Then on Monday afternoon Lady Luck looked kindly upon me and success came my way.  The photos below were taken some two meters away from the bird.
