On the 16th we went to the Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West for brunch. The estate was established over 300 years and is known for not only its natural beauty, but also for its superb wines. The name Vergelegen is Dutch and mean a place situated far away. Saw the tree below and what crossed my mind was what a pity an entire pine tree dead and ready to be taken down. When getting to the tree it was discovered it is alive and well, only went brown due to the fact it is winter. I unfortunately could not find out what it is called.
The start of a new week and less than 24 hours to the solstice and in the southern hemisphere our day are about to get longer again, but the winter cold will remain for some time. Enjoy your day.
