The aloe garden at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens put a splendid show this year. Albeit that I had a ball with the camera I must admit the photographs could not do justice to what the eye saw. Below a few of the better pics I took.

What a thrill it must have been to see these. I wonder why the aloes we have here (likely imported) never seem to bloom.
