The fever tree is found in Eastern and Southern Africa and mostly in swampy areas. Erroneously early settlers thought the tree was the cause of malaria instead of mosquitos. The trunk and branches of the tree have a distinctive greenish yellow colour. I tried to photograph the full tree in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens but lost the colour of the trunk due to the distance between me and the tree, so here what the trunk looks like close up.

Have a great week.
