An interesting house house I saw while on holiday in Switzerland. Unfortunately I could not get the history behind it.

Enjoy the start of the new week.

Morges is affectionally referred to as the flower capital of Switzerland. Albeit that we were there a wee bit early in Spring we still got a good show of was was coming and I wish to share our eyes’ delight with all.

Enjoy the weekend.

Some street shots taken on a Monday morning in Morges. With most small shops closed until after lunch the town can truly look deserted.

How nice to travel in a super clean bus.

It is Friday and the weekend starts. Enjoy.

Our vacation in Switzerland with the kids and the grandies also had a very special meaning.  On 1 May this year it will be exactly 50 years ago my wife and I arrived inBerne, Switzerland, as junior diplomats at the Embassy.  Almost four years later our elder daughter was welcomed to life in the Sonnenhof clinic.  However, 16 April was the big occasion and the photos below will explain with a minimum of words.

Enjoy the evening while we are still fighting to get over out Swiss Spring colds!

Wednesday past was the last time we saw the sun and the Alps, since then it was cloud cover and rain and the same is expected tomorrow when we leave.  So I am sharing the last view of the Alps we had.

All that now remains is packing the cases, enjoy the final evening with the children and grandies.  Tomorrow will be off to the airport for the long journey home.  At least we have proof of the memories we will take with us.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

To the first time visitor the Abby holds many surprises, but none can surpass the beauty and serene appearance of the ceiling.

Today is D-day minus 1 for us as we will return home tomorrow.  So some time will be spent packing especially souvenirs acquired during our stay. Enjoy a quiet Sunday wherever you are.

Some more Abby pics for the eye.
